Can be diagnosed with a urine sample or vaginal swab.

You can get Chlamydia by having vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected person.
When To Get Tested?
Get tested at least once a year if you are:

25 or younger and are sexually active\older than 25 and having sex with one or more partner

Older than 25 and you have a new sexual partner
-
Pregnant
-
If your sex partner has tested positive
Signs/Symptoms

Often has no symptoms but can still cause serious health problems.

Symptoms may not appear until several weeks after having the disease and may include;

abnormal smelly vaginal discharge

burning sensation when peeing
-
unusual sore
-
bleeding between periods

discomfort or bleeding when you have sex

If the infection spreads: lower abdominal pain, pain during sex, nausea, or fever may be present.
How to Lower Your Risk?

Refrain from having sex

Only have sex with someone who's not infected and only has sex with you.

Use condoms if used the correct way.

Washing your genitals, urinating, or douching after sex will NOT prevent any STD.
