When to Get Tested?
Sexually active individuals should get tested yearly if they are:

25 years or older with these risk factors:

Signs and Symptoms
Most women do not have any symptoms, and if symptoms are present, they can be mild and often mistaken for a bladder or vaginal infection. Some symptoms include:

Painful or burning sensation when peeing

Increased vaginal discharge

Vaginal bleeding between periods

Refrain from having sex

Only have sex with someone who is not infected and only has sex with you

Use condoms, if used the correct way

Washing your genitals, urinating, or douching after sex will NOT prevent any STD.
